PS Bank Donates to Skills in Scranton
PS Bank recently made a donation of $4,000 to Skills in Scranton, an initiative focused on enhancing career readiness and business education in Lackawanna County. The donation was made through the bank’s participation in the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program, which supports organizations that provide valuable educational services to students.

The mission of Skills in Scranton is to create career awareness and develop a talent pipeline supporting high-priority occupations in Lackawanna County through collaborations with industry, education, and community workforce and economic development organizations. This mission aligns with the organization's focus on building industry-specific skills and preparing students for future careers in key sectors, ensuring the region’s workforce is well-equipped to meet the demands of a growing economy.
The funds donated by PS Bank will be used to support programming that helps students in Lackawanna County school districts gain valuable career exploration experiences and develop the skills they need to succeed.
“Supporting initiatives that help students explore career paths and develop essential skills is an important part of PS Bank’s commitment to the community,” said Paul Walsh, Senior Lender at PS Bank. “The Greater Scranton Chamber and Skills in Scranton have been instrumental in bridging the gap between education and business, and we’re proud to contribute to their mission of preparing students for successful careers in our region.”
